Salamanque Or
The very intricate design found on these two patterns is directly inspired by the decorative motifs of the Renaissance (16th century) that are much in evidence on the metalwork and flatware pieces with engraved handles that were produced during that period in Toledo in Spain. This inspiration is picked up again in the plant-related theme of the design: leaves, vines and flowers, interweave and form volutes, a characteristic ornamental motif of the period, created by spiralling scrolls and whorls. An original composition with a design that differs from one piece to the next. This dinner service is available with an inlaid rim featuring the same pattern (Tolède), or without inlay (Salamanque). Available in gold or platinum on white, ivory, black, red, turquoise or green background.
