It all began in London, within the showroom of Fromental, where Bertrand Raynaud met Lizzie and Tim, the creative minds behind the illustrious British wallpaper company.

From this encounter blossomed a rare alchemy—a dialogue between Raynaud’s exceptional craftsmanship and Fromental’s artistic refinement.

Born of this shared vision, Paradis elevates the art of the table into an ethereal realm, drawing inspiration from exotic nature and the delicate sophistication of chinoiseries.

Paradis finds its essence in Fromental’s iconic Chinese-inspired collection, renowned for its hand-painted and silk-embroidered wall panels, crafted by master artisans whose expertise is unparalleled.

Each brushstroke, fluid and precise, each delicate silk thread, tells a story of grace and refinement. This singular aesthetic served as the foundation for Raynaud to transpose this timeless artistry onto porcelain.

From the very first sketches by Lizzie and Raynaud’s creative team, one principle became evident: each piece must be unique.

To capture the richness of textures and the depth of the design, Bertrand Raynaud envisioned a striking contrast—a matte, slightly grainy background reminiscent of fine wallpaper, against which delicate motifs of bamboo and tropical birds gleam with radiant brilliance. This subtle interplay of matte and gloss brings the decor to life, as if in motion.
